Dear xxx,
The ID is the date of birth and year – many germans have copied their passport and that is fine.
If you have already sent in your application without ID then itŽs also ok – if the Fund will need any more documents from you then you will be contacted.
Best regards,

Dear Sir
Yes, hopefully will this matter be solved soon and I will try to give you some answers to your questions:
When will compensation be paid?
– We don´t have information on that yet, but the matter of decision lies with the german and icelandic governments.
Is it going to be paid by you, the Guarantee Fund, or by a bank, maybe a bank in Germany?
– I have to refer to the same, we don´t have information on that yet.
Is it for sure, that the accounts of the german clients will never be re-opened for a clients direct access to the savings or is this still an option?
– It could still be an option although I doubt it.
Background of these questions is the large number of application forms you are getting from at least more than 30,000 german clients (plus application forms from clients from other countries). Although I really don´t know how many employees are working with you, I´m afraid that it is impossible for you to handle all these application forms within an appropiate time.
-That is true, we receive many thousends of applications but it would be in best interest for everybody if compensation would be made relatively soon.
Are payments going to be made in Euro or another currency?
– Payment would be made in the same currency as the accounts were, so Euros in the case of Germany.
I know this answer is not fullfilling but I hope for more detailed information later this week. Please also follow the lates news on the Kaupthing Edge Website: http://www.kaupthingedge.de/Kaupthing-Edge/Letzte-Nachrichten
